I am having a hard time figuring out how to set up the passwords/pins for my Kindle Fire 7th generation. Here's what I want to do:
Have one pin for me to be able to do all the parent stuff: add apps, change free time setting, etc. Then have a pin for my daughter to use unlock the screen and just see her own profile.
So...how do I do this? I think I have mixed up parental control and free time and locked screen and now the pin I had thought I had chosen for my daughter opens the parent screen.
Hi jessden, welcome to our Digital and Device Forum!
I am sorry that you have this problem. With the Parental Control you can select within the Parental Control Menu what you want to set up for your Profile. Under Profiles and Family Library accessed by your Parental Control password, you can add a child profile, a second adult profile and manage them. You only have to put in the Screen Pin when you want to switch back from the Child's account to the Parent account. It will ask you to put in the Pin, once for switching back to the Adult Profile and another time to unlock the screen. To access the Child Profile you will not be asked to put in the Pin.
