But why not? My Fire tablet in my room by default controls the TV soundbar in living room rather than the one in my room, that's abit silly. What does it take for amazon alexa to add the group feature to fire tablet?
Old thread and I'll continue to search but here goes.
Just received my Amazon Fire HD 8 with the intentions of adding it to my "Downstairs" Music Group. This does not seem possible yet I can ask Alexa on my new Fire HD 8 to stream music and it works. I can also ask Alexa on my new Fire HD 8 to stream to the "Downstairs" Group, it that works. Why would they not allow adding a Fire HD to be included in Alexa groups?!?!?!
You need to ask "why" questions of the people who make the decisions. That would not be other customers. Best if you call Amazon in Seattle and see if someone will sit down and explain the "why" of a thing to you. But don;t hold your breath as they have no obligation to explain their internal processes to outsiders.
NOTE: I do NOT speak for or represent Amazon in any fashion. This is a customer to customer forum.
