Whatever I order from Amazon automatically shows up on my kids' kindles as a notification on the locked screen. I don't want them to know what I'm ordering them for Christmas. How can I stop those notifications?
I don’t get those notifications on my Fires. I think it’s because I have Amazon Stores blocked under Parental Controls, which also blocks the shopping app which I think is the source of those notifications.
However, a curious child who has access to Silk could see what’s in the account by going to the Amazon website, where you’re always logged in (although it’s possible to temporarily log out by clearing the cache).
Would really love a fix for this as well. I'm considering using somewhere else to shop other than Amazon because of this. I can't get the notifications turned off but my kids are old enough I do not need to set the kindles up for all the Parental control nonsense. Using another account makes no sense because I'm not going to pay for Prime on 2 accounts.
Maybe you can disable them. Because I blocked Shop Amazon in Parental Controls, there was no setting for it under app notifications. But, I just unblocked it and now it shows. See if this helps, go to Settings > Sound & Notifications > App Notifications > Shop Amazon > turn on Block.
