I cannot get my fire tablet to communicate with PC. Using original cord, It hasn't been connected for a while, but I have connected to this PC in the past. Tried on other pcs , no luck. I'm looking on line to see fixes. I don't see my device in My computer or device Manager. I see on line that they have drivers that are usually bundled with ADB drivers for turning the tablet into a development tablet for testing. I did try to install a set of drivers and they did not work. they did force a fire device to show up in device manager but I have since uninstalled them. I"m having no luck still connecting this tablet via USB to my pc windows 7 64 bit. any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance,
Thank you for your reply. I thought I did not need the drivers. That why I'm confused as to why I can't get my PC to communicate. I have waited for the home screen and My screen is not locked. I will try to contact amazon, but my experience with them is they will try to send me a new tablet at lower price, they have no time at all for repairing things. For now, I need to retrieve my sons saved games and other data not covered in the Automatic backup that takes place daily. Thanks again for your reply.
Your not going to be able to transfer apps, or app data like that.
IF data is retrievable (which is up to the individual app developers) it has to be through Amazon Game Circle, the app developers website, or via a third party, such as Facebook.
When apps are downloaded, they are formatted to only work on that specific device (which includes accessing game/app data)
Unless what you are copying is an apk file from an app you got from a third party, all you can do is download apps from your cloud, aka Amazon account and hope the app developers provided a means to recover progress.
