In trying to fix a book that downloaded but would not open, the tech deleted my Kindle10 books assuring he would then restore and this would fix the problem. Unfortunately AMAZON says I will need to re-load them 10 at a time. Normally this would not be an issue but I have over 14000 books (YES, THOUSAND) so this would take a year or so . . . DOES anyone know another way to do this? I feel AMAZON should fix this since they did this to me. So far they just say they are sorry but this is the only way to do this. I need these books to refer to.
At the moment I am left with a total of 5 books sent to me to test if they could. I have been on hold, being transferred around the world, for over an hour now. NO ONE IS GOING TO TAKE THIS CALL, right?
I had that happen before, a customer support person deregistered my Fire HD 10 to try to correct a minor issue with a video (which that did not fix). It also had the effect of all my downloaded content needing to be downloaded again. Now when they suggest doing that I tell them No.
You're going to have to just download the books again. Bummer.
