When facing a software issue, a restart of your device is always a good first procedure to do, in order to see if this resolves your problem.
To perform a reset on Echo devices, unplug the power adapter from the back of the device. Then, plug the power adapter back in.
On Amazon Tap, press and hold the Power button for five seconds until the button dims. Then, press the Power button again to turn it on.
On Echo Look, press and hold the Mic/Camera Off button for 10 seconds until the device and light ring turn off, then release the button. Press and hold the Mic/Camera Off button again for about 3 seconds, then release the button. The light ring turns blue as the device reboots.
After you restart your device, wait for the device to update again.
