What does it actually take to use Alexa/Echo? Everything I can find sort of presumes you already have some items or services. For example, I think Amazon presumes you have a cell phone. That's probably pretty safe. But what else is assumed/required?
Suppose, for example, my only internet access is on my cell phone. Can someone else in my house use Alexa if I'm away?
Is there some place that describes ... "in order to use Alexa to order a pizza you need ..." or "in order to play music with Alexa you need..." ?
Edit: A cell phone isn’t necessary to use an Echo. There is only one Echo feature that I’m aware of that requires a cell phone; if one wants to make phone calls on an Echo device, then a newer model cell phone is required.
