Alexa is not known for understanding clearly. It always hears "ajax" as "a jacks" unless I say "ajax cleanser" and I have a terrible time having it understand "egg timer" instead of "a timer" (no name). Ceedee may have a point -- make sure you clearly say "classical" and pause very slightly before the next word.

Mine is doing the same and worse. Prior to this week and for the last couple years, every morning I would say “Alexa, play classical music on the everywhere group.” And she would play classical music for hours. Now I get Bob Seger, The Eagles, Michael Buble.... it’s crazy. And I get about 20 seconds of a song, then a new song, over and over until it quits after about 5 or 10 minutes. I unplugged all the devices for about an hour and then plugged them all back in and am still getting the same behavior. Can anyone suggest something to try?
Same crazy type results with every genre. Btw.

I have an Alexa Show and want it to play classical music for my pets while I'm at work.
Prior to Nov. 2019:
"Alexa: Play my classical music"
Alexa plays Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Schubert, etc.
This week:
"Alexa: Play my classical music"
Alexa plays Def Leppard, Elvis, Ozzy Osbourne, Rolling Stones, etc.
"Alexa: stop", "Alexa: Play my classical music"
Alexa plays some random radio station.
"Alexa: stop", "Alexa: Play my classical music"
Alexa plays some video blog analysis of last nights football game.
"Alexa: stop", "Alexa: Play my classical music"
Alexa plays Van Halen, The Beatles, The Who, etc.
I look at my music on Amazon and the genres have not changed, ie. Van Halen is not categorized as classical.
How is a video blog of last nights football game considered classical music?
What has happened to Alexa?
Sounds like a bug, but make sure Alexa hears you say "classical." All the artists/songs you list are more like "classic" rock.
