Hey! So I’ve had the device for about 2 days now and I was really excited to use it and incorporate it into my daily life but was completely disappointed. So what’s bugging me the most is that the “make calls with your voice function just isn’t working. I’ve ALREADY GONE TO THE SUPPORT PAGE and tried those phrases and the only thing I get back is Alexa saying “sorry I can’t help you with that.”. If I’m being honest the calling feature was the only reason as to why I wanted to purchase echo auto. My contacts are imported to my Alexa app but that doesn’t seem to matter. Other than that Alexa hear me half of the time it’s ridiculous. Someone please help.
I'm sorry you're having difficulty completing calls with Echo Auto. Let's make sure all of your devices are fully updated.
Start with your iPhone XS, making sure it's running the latest iOS. For the Alexa app, look in the app store for any available Updates.
The Echo Auto updates automatically, but we can check and see if you have the latest software. As of 9/16/19, the latest version is 17105008. You can stay up-to-date on the current version here. In the Alexa app Device Settings, you can check the version you're currently running and confirm. If you're running a different version, please restart your phone and Echo Auto, then connect them. Leave the devices undisturbed but connected for 15 minutes, and then restart both so the software update can apply.
I hope these update steps help. If they don't, please let me know if you're connected with Bluetooth or AUX for next steps!
