OK, I tried this on another forum, now I'll see if anyone has any ideas here. I paired my Echo Spot with an Design BE-RTX Wireless Music Adapter to play music through my stereo receiver. It works great for the first song of an album or playlist, but then the second song does not come through. You can see by the lyrics on the Echo Spot that the next song is playing, but it doesn't come through. Then the next song after that one does! So, it plays every other song on the playlist through the Bluetooth device. Anyone have any ideas? I'm about to pull my hair out.
I'm sorry you're still having the same issue after the recommended troubleshooting provided on your other post in our UK forum. I also recommend adjusting the location of your Echo Spot relative to your wireless adapter to make sure the wireless Bluetooth signal isn't being blocked or receiving interference
If that still doesn't help - I was able to do more research since you posted the manufacturer/model of your adapter here. Thank you!
If that is not the right device, please let me know and disregard the information below.
But if this is the correct device - I found this information provided directly by the manufacturer on the linked page above:
Is this compatible with an amazon echo? i want to stream music from the echo to my stereo Answer: Sorry, i don't have the echo in hand, couldn't test it for you. The RX mode of this BE-RTX adapter will be workable as the normal bluetoth speakers or bluetooth headphones. If your echo could make the bluetooth connection with your bluetooth headphones or bluetooth speakers, it should be also workable with our BE-RTX in this way.
Any further assistance, you could contact us via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
So I definitely recommend going over your setup again and making sure you're using RX mode. If this issue persists - reaching out to Besign at that email address is the best next step to take as the troubleshooting from our side is not resolving your issue. They may have additional steps and/or software updates to help.
Thanks so much for the help Kristen. I called the Amazon help line and got a really friendly guy who worked with me for about 30 min. No luck though. He's going to call back today and check since we thought we maybe had it fixed.
It's a really strange problem, in that it works perfectly but only every other song. Something, either the adapter or the Echo Spot is turning off Bluetooth and then starting it again.
I have decided to send back the adapter first and try another brand. Anyone here have a suggestion on what might work? I'm not using Bluetooth speakers or headphones, but using the supplied cord to input a stereo receiver and traditional speakers.
I must say, that even though I'm not happy yet, Amazon customer service has been wonderful in trying to help me!
You're very welcome AngellaC! I'm glad to hear that while you did not get a resolution, our Customer Service team has been so helpful!
