But maybe it's a good thing they don't touch what's not broken, like the new Android app crash which for some ...... especially for the new makes for a hard sell.

Warning I edit a lot, it's an incurable condition ..... .. .
we don't need a "smart home groups" on the app. everything we need from there (groups, devices, scenes) are already located in the app under the "devices" tab. what we need is "routines" on the desktop (i don't care where you put it) because i have dozens of routines that i want to setup and i don't want to do it from my mobile. perhaps it is coming soon but it is definitely a miss unless there is a good reason for not having it.
That's why I spent an hour and a half trying to set up the temperature sensor of the echo plus and I couldn't ..
You need to access routines apparently which is not available on the desktop .. why is that ? that's the most complicated thing to set up and using a mobile device for it is so annoying ...

How come I do not see Routines option when I log onto the desktop browser Alexa ?
Amazon wants people to use the Alexa App vs the Desktop. They only provided the desktop version for people who do not have smartphones nor tablets. There may be other reasons but that is all I can think of at this moment.

There is NO one from Amazon (Except Moderators) who is a member of this forum in a Official capacity.
And I highly doubt that anyone on the forum knows the whys of the reason the programmers have chosen to have things the way they are

It will be very satisfying when a $20-$200 Alexa Device will operate like a device from the year 3000 !!

BlueStacks (or other Android emulators?) can run the Alexa app on a PC
