i decided to give the Echo Dot 3 a try after being satisfied with the 2nd generation and the possible better sound from the 3. Although many songs sound more powerful, I’ve experienced a lot of feedback or maybe what you would call static when listening to both talk radio and music. It usually happens on Ses in words. Sort of like lisp for my Dot 3. It doesn’t happen to every word with an S or every song, but it happens more often than I believe it should. I’ve played with the equalizer and thought I fixed it, but it’s the same today. Any way to stop hearing the Ssssss sssso much? Thanks!
I'm having this same issue, with my 3rd generation Echo Dot (the "lisp"). I see others on the forum reporting a similar issue. I've tried relocating the device (in case there was some electronic interference from my home) and resetting the device completely but no resolution.
I purchased a 2nd generation Echo dot at the same time and have no issue.
Should I return it and just get a new 2nd generation? Sound quality (aside from the lisp) is clearly better on the 3rd generation so I'd hate to do that.
