As above, my Pandora capability disappeared. It is not even an option. The reason I like it is because I can play a station that plays similar songs, but the Amazon app only plays the artist you select. I am highly frustrated. I hate the proprietary mind set of Amazon. The main reason I chose to go with Amazon/android is because they aren't supposed to be proprietary, like Apple. WTF is going on? I'm only invested three echo dots. If I need to move to the equivalent Google devices, I will. I hear that their AI is better anyway.
I'm jumping in here as I have the same issues. It can play Pandora stations but it won't recognize most of the names of my stations. I've always had that problem so I've always used the app to just click on the station I want from my list, or choose shuffle. When you said it's now a voice enabled skill, does that mean they are eliminating the ability to use the app to choose stations? If it's going to be voice command only it would be really awful in our house as my son has a speech impediment that makes it very hard for him to even use voice commands.
Any updates? This has been ongoing for 4 days.. I would think you guys would have this fixed as a priority before black Friday. I have 4 echos in my home and have gifted a few, planned to buy some more but now that this feature isn't working, I don't plan to buy anymore. Please fix this or at least revert back to the previous update...
I also have the same problem -- Alexa doesn't acknowledge any of my Pandora stations. I contacted Pandora's customer service and was told Pandora was pushing out a fix; they also suggested I unlink, then relink, my Pandora account on the Alexa app (iPhone). When I did that, though, the Alexa app no longer lists Pandora as an available music service choice. I deleted and re-installed the Alexa app, but still no listing of Pandora. So there are really two problems -- Amazon needs to list Pandora on the Alexa app, and also enable Alexa to acknowledge a user's Pandora stations. Am hoping Amazon and Pandora are reading this and are collaborating on solutions....
I bought an echo dot yesterday and I am setting it up, trying to play pandora. However it says go to the Alexa app and enable pandora, I don’t see pandora when I open up music on the Alexa app. Anybody know what to do?
I just started having this issue and Alexa doesn't just say she can't find the station, she says that, "...she wants it all and a break from Pandora!" Then she plays something completely different! I can launch Pandora from the Alexa app, though.
Still broken... hasn't worked in several weeks. Really disappointing.
Amazon, while you're fixing this, can you also let me re-arrange my video and audio cards so I can put the services I use at the top? Now I have to scroll through almost three screens of stuff I don't use in order to get to Pandora (and Amazon Music for that matter). Default is video on top - none of my devices have video. I'd like to be able to put audio on top, and arrange it so my services I use are listed first, demoting or hiding ones I don't use.
Very frustrating. Pandora stations don’t show up as a list as they did before. They are not listed at all. Dots and Echos create new stations haphazardly not following age old verbal commands that you have been using. Is this a push to move you away from Pandora to an Amazon product?
