If you are sharing your prime account then it will pulse a green light in addition to what is posted here. I Think. You are receiving a call. Or, someone is Dropping In on your device. To learn more go to Answer or Ignore Calls on Your Echo or Another Supported Device.
I don't understand this pulsing green light ring at all. I have one echo dot that is connected to my wi-fi. I have only had my dot a couple days. I live alone so no one is using my prime account. I do not have it set up to receive any calls and in fact Alexa said I did not have any calls to receive. I don't know what it means by someone dropping in on my device. I cannot figure out how to get it to stop pulsing the green light. it just started doing it a couple hours ago but has not stopped all this time. I tried unplugging it and that didn't do anything. I find the online help useless at best. Can someone please tell me how to stop the green pulsing light ring. I am beyond frustrated.
I know the Amazon documentation doesn't mention this, but every time I see that flashing green ring on my echo dot its a message from Amazon saying either an item will be delivered today or has been delivered.
So when I see that, I say "Alexa, read my notifications" and she reads me the message
What you are referring to as Green is really yellow it tends to look like a yellowish greenish color not as yellow as it looks in the post above. Yellow is the light you see when you have a notification about a delivery or a message not Green.
What about a spinning yellow ring? The ring is clearly yellow, not green, and prevents all other use of the device. I cannot even place it in setup mode with the spinning yellow light. I thought it was for a notification, but when I ask another Echo in the house to read my notification, it tells me that I have no notifications.
