I recently ran across some info that implied Alexa could read ANY book you have in your library, not just the Audible one.
Tried giving various commands, but she always wanted to involve Audible for the reading.
As mentioned in the info - I could determine and see which books could be read by these menus...
--> Alexa App --> Home --> Music, Videos, & Books --> scroll to bottom --> Kindle -->
very top line should have tiny drop down for the device --> make sure it is your Echo
ALL of my books are listed - and if I click on one, my Echo Dot2 will begin reading it...
SO - what is the correct syntax of the voice command to access and have Alexa read these NOT-Audible normal Kindle books ?
It works for me to say “Alexa, read Willy the Whale” (a kid’s book). That command also works for books that have a companion audiobook that I didn’t purchase. But, if I have the audiobook, that command will start the audiobook.
