Alexa will connect to wi-fi during startup, but then I receive message "Internet unavailable with Amazon 3-LK" after Alexis says she's connected to wi-fi. Then I can't continue setup on app. Any ideas?
I recently set up a new Echo. While doing the wifi, a message popped up telling me to go to the wifi networks on my Fire tablet (which is where I was accessing the Alexa app) and connect to Amazon-xxx. I went there and saw that the network showed “Security - None”, so I cancelled it. I thought, no security, no way, I’ll return the Echo.
But then, I saw in the app that it showed the Echo was connected to my home network. I asked her ‘what’s the weather’ and she responded.
I think the purpose of the Amazon-xxx network is just for that very first and brief connection when the app connects to the Echo. Alexa then speaks and tells you to complete the set-up. I don’t think it’s meant for any use other than that first moment of set-up.
