When I plug in my Alexa nothing happens. No power light, no spinning light and no Hello. HELP
yeah - which specific ECHO do you have ? Are you sure the AC power adapter is working - Is it the tiny round power pin - or the standard micro-USB ? Have you tried charging another device with a micro-USB connector ?
WOW - just noticed that most of the ECHO devices now use a ROUND power pin vs the standard Micro-USB.... bummer -
Important Note: Not all AC-USB power adapters are the same. Many 3rd party USB adapters will not power Amazon devices.
You didn't say you are using the power adapter that came with the unidentified device. Your 1st test should be to use the adapter that came with the device. If that works you have your answer.
If you are using the adapter that was shipped with your device call Amazon support and they will ship you a replacement power supply for your specific device--which you will 1st have to identify. But I'm sure support will talk you through that as well as confirming the adapter type (pin vs u-USB).
If the problem persists, contact Customer Service and they will troubleshoot with you. From the Alexa app > swipe in from the left > Help & Feedback > Call Customer Service > select your device > select a category > select an issue > verify your info > Call Me > they will call you almost immediately.
If you have a cat, check your power cord. The cat may have chewed on it causing a power issue. I woke up this morning and my Alexa was not working. No power. Checked the power cord and it was chewed up. I cut the cord between the bad spot and re spliced the wires back together. Alexa now has power and no issues till the stupid cat feels like chewing on my power cord. Good luck!!
